This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
How would you feel sitting on an old worn out carpet?
I teach in a Title 1 school and almost all of my students live on a poverty level.
These kids don't have and get the luxury in life that's why it's easy for them to be contented, but I'm not in providing the best for them. I believe that they too deserve the best in life.
My Project
The carpet we inherited from the teacher who left our school doesn't have an interesting appeal to learning. The carpet I want for my students is very interesting and interactive. It will be very useful because it only not teach numbers and letters but we can do a lot of fun activities using the prints. Examples are skip counting and sounding the letters.
Since it has 20 numbers in it.
It will also create discipline among my students because it'll be easy for them to find their spot during circle time without causing behavior issues.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
