My Students
Our Title I school consists of students who come from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. All of our K-6 students receive free breakfast and lunch. An important goal for me is to meet the needs of every student.
One of my joys as a teacher is motivating and finding my students' interests.
Despite their challenges, they work so hard to learn each day. It always makes me proud to see how much my students grow through the school year. Positive reinforcement is an important motivator for my students.
My Project
The goal of the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) plan that our school follows is to prevent behavior issues. My students work very hard throughout the day to earn Flight Tickets for positive behavior.
It is important to bring attention to the students who are displaying positive behavior because it models our expectations.
They earn Flight Tickets when they SOAR. Students SOAR when they show Self-control, are On task, have a great Attitude, and are Respectful.
Flight Tickets can be exchanged for fun and exciting prizes like stress balls, bracelets, decorative pencils, toy rings, and other small toys.
My students will be so excited to earn Flight Tickets for these fun incentives!
