My students are unique in that each student has different technology needs. Some of my students use talkers to communicate their needs and wants, some have tablets that they use in addition to the district provided Chromebooks. At the end of the day, students bring their electronic devices to my room so that they can be charged.
I have run out of space and plug ins for all of the different devices.
I have the devices sitting on different tables and chairs throughout my classroom. I am concerned that when the custodians come in at night, that they may knock into a chair and the device falls and cracks. In the mornings, my classroom is a little chaotic as teacher aids and students come to get find the devices and who's is who's.
Having a charging station will help eliminate the confusion in the mornings as they will all be in one location and easy to find. Not to mention, it will keep the devices safe.
