Take a Stand: Band Program in Need of Music Stands!

Help me give my students items like music stands and mouthpieces for some much needed items in order to create beautiful music.

My Project

Here in Siloam Springs, we have a flourishing band program with over 500 students in grades 6-12. These students are hard-working, ambitious, and lovers of music. Our program has grown so much in the last couple of years that, frankly, we have outgrown our means!

When we rehearse our beginning band, we do not have enough music stands for our students.

Some have to try to use a chair or a broken stand to hold their music.

New music stands and storage racks would make a world of difference for these young musicians. The mouthpiece puller helps our students get brass mouthpieces unstuck, a much needed tool for our beginning band students. My students also are in need of valve oil. This keeps our instruments working correctly throughout the entire year. Students use valve oil to make sure that the valves of their instruments do not get stuck. In addition, some of our clarinetists in middle school (7th-8th grade) do not have quality mouthpieces to play on. If they could play on the Yamaha ones that I have requested, they would be so amazed at how much better they sound.
