This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are energetic, sweet, and kind fifth graders. They work very hard on a daily basis to become better learners.

My students attend a leader in my school and work daily on the five healthy habits of becoming better citizens.

I always teach my students to be proud of their work and their learning, academically and socially. I help guide my students in understanding their role and responsibility for their own learning. I am dedicated to reaching each and every student. Thank you for your support.

My Project

Our classroom is crowded. Being a portable, we have to compensate for the storage issue with huge metal cabinets that take up so much space. Then, being a fifth-grade class adds thirty-plus students and desks and chairs. This leaves little room for much else. I currently have one small table that I use for small group time. However, the chairs are squished and so are we when we sit there. I’m hoping that this project's request for stools will help. Stools store under the table better and create less bulk! They also can be transported a lot easier than the chairs we have. This project would give my class more room to read in small groups and clear up some of that crowded space!
