This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom carpet is used daily for SEL, math, ELA and all the other general ed subjects we cover. The carpet provides an important learning space throughout the day. Many of our lessons begin with and conclude with students coming back together on the carpet ti share their ideas and thoughts. I would love for my students to start the school year with a new classroom carpet. Students like to gather on the carpet to have group discussions. The flexible seating will allow accommodations to students who need an alternative to sitting in the carpet while instruction.
