Help me give my students the power of choice and flexibility. My motto, “Sit, kneel, stand ... just learn!”

My Students
The students that I work with are the FUTURE leaders of our world-doctors, lawyers, politicians, professors, translations specialists, software developers, engineers, etc. They show talents in art and design, technology, mathematics/science/reading, as well as communication skills. As these skill sets mature over the years, these children will be able to help ENHANCE our world's tolerance of various cultures, beliefs, and differences that we face in our daily lives.
By creating this project, I want to prepare them for the work force by designing an environment that focuses on the whole child: mind, body and heart.
More and more companies are focusing on their employees physical and emotional well being. By creating a flexible learning environment within the classroom, I, too, can focus on my students' physical and emotional well being. Students will begin taking ownership of their learning by recognizing how and in what ways they learn best: standing, sitting, laying down, and/or taking a break when needed ... just like adults do when they are at work.
My Project
Teachers want our students DOING so we need to design our spaces to encourage and motivate our kiddos to DO IT!
Student Choice, comfort and collaboration is my goal with these requested flexible seating materials.
Student-centered learning starts by first letting students choose the seating style that best fits their learning style. It’s called flexible seating.
An uncomfortable student, is a distracted and unproductive student. Flexible seating encourages students to find their best spot to stay calm, focused and productive.
With these requested flexible seating materials students will quickly and easily pair up, work in small groups, and have a comfortable place to discuss as a whole class. It opens the door to communication skills and higher order thinking.
