This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a second year teacher, teaching third grade. My focus in the classroom is to develop a sense of security to promote a positive learning environment. Our school is in a high-needs community and school is their safe haven.
Our school has tried program after program to help these kids succeed. Our literacy program is aiming to bring them all up to grade level and beyond! With classrooms being overloaded with students, it often feels too stuffy and crammed to be comfortable.
I would love to incorporate the bean bag chairs into my literacy stations to give the students an opportunity to feel at home and comfortable while learning. My goal is to have the students getting excited to do literacy centers so they get a chance to relax and enjoy what they're doing in a fun and comfortable way.
With your help my students can experience their classroom in a whole new way. Your donation will help these students get on the path to success and will soon be reading on grade level. The opportunities are endless with the power of your donation!
