Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 5th graders love to read independently however, my classroom library is out of date, lacking in a vast variety of book genres, and reading levels.
With help from DonorsChoose, I will be able to provide each child with a book based on their own individual reading level, while successfully increasing my students reading ability.
Additionally, these books will provide my students with titles based on their interests and curiosities.
Successfully increasing student's reading ability requires at least 20 minutes of reading daily. Additionally, having these new books will help me achieve my personal class goal of reading 9 chapter books this school year.
