My Project
My elementary music students LOVE exploring music with books. So many children's literature books lend themselves perfectly to adding sound effects, composed melodies, and repeating musical patterns called ostinati. Adding rhythms or melodic lines throughout a book creates a wonderful sound story that resonates with young musicians in the music classroom.
Adding music to literature is such a memorable and fun way to explore musical elements such as rhythm, timbre, texture, melody and dynamics. The addition of these children's literature books will delight my music students as they provide backgrounds for musical storytelling throughout the entire school year. With your generosity, the magic of music within a book will come to life!
