This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My K-5 students are excellent communicators and academic achievers. They love coming to school everyday and welcome the challenge that a good education can bring. My students are bright and love to help each other. They come to school with a loving heart and embrace diversity.
My Project
We do restorative justice circles in our classroom across grade levels. Students sit in a circle and discuss their feelings. They also learn how to build relationships in order to be kind to others.
Students need to be able to sit comfortably in a circle and by having these stools it will make conducting circles much easier.
Students love to sit in unconventional chairs. It makes participating much easier and the kids love sitting in circles. Having these chairs with rollers will also help students that have special needs in terms of being able to move easily on a stool that rolls.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
