This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from hardworking families on the west side of Chicago. They are incredibly bright and have an enormous capacity to learn, to work diligently, and to succeed! They take pride in their work and are very eager to learn. They are all such good friends to each other. I wish to match their incredible efforts with the best possible resources here in our learning community. This is an exciting time in my students' lifelong learning journey.
Our school is a Title I school, with 97.5% of students coming from low income families.
The neighborhood itself is high in poverty. Due to the low income of families, my students encounter a hugh struggle to get resources. They lack the basic resources at home and unfortunately the resources available in my classroom are very limited. Please help my students become successful.
My Project
Help me get my students a True HEPA Purifier for our classroom. During this challenging year, we have worked so hard to keep our students safe and healthy. The time to return back to school is fast approaching and I want to make sure that our classroom is as safe as possible.

My students and I have been anxiously awaiting the return back to school for many months. I want to make sure my students are able to stay in school with a clear mind to focus on their learning. Also, have their parents know that I am doing everything I possibly can to help insure it. This can be possible with the classroom environment being clean.
Please help all my students feel safer with less germs in our classroom air. This air purifier would provide us with a piece of mind as well as a healthier environment.
