This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students have a hard time staying focused in class and frequently need a space to regulate their emotions. By providing a cool down space, students have a safe place to learn to self-regulate emotions and rejoin the class. Bouncy Bands, a device that is shaped like a large rubber band placed on students' chairs by their feet, are designed for students of short attention spans stay focused by staying active in their seats, causing less of a distraction to others. It's incredibly valuable to give students this space to breathe when school is overwhelming!
