My Students

George Evans said, "Every student can learn, just not in the same way on the same day." This quote describes my students as they all have different strengths and learning styles. Yet, they all have a desire to learn at their independent levels.

My students are a diverse group of 5th grade learners who love math, reading, and science.

My students are highly motivated when they have a variety of ways to learn, including using technology. We only have 1 computer in our classroom, which limits the number of students who can have access to online materials at their reading and/or math level. In addition, many of my students do not have Internet availability at home to access online learning.

My Project

Students are more likely to be engaged and motivated when they can access learning material at their independent level of understanding. My students need 6 iPad minis with ear buds and protective cases to access learning material at their independent level. Students will be able to support and enhance their learning by reading eBooks, as well as accessing apps and Internet sites to increase their learning in reading, math, and science. They will also be able to quench their insatiable desire to learn by finding answers to their questions.

The 6 iPad minis will impact this year's students, as well as future students.

They will be able to learn, explore, and discover, thereby increasing their understanding in all areas of life and increase their desire to continue learning.
