My Students
TAG! You're it! Playing tag used to be the best game in the schoolyard, but Leap Frog has given tag a whole new meaning! Now students can "bring books magically to life" with the new "tag reader." My students can't wait to experience Leap Frog's newest invention!
This is my class of superstars - a group of twenty-five third graders who are eager to do anything and everything to learn as much as they can while in my classroom.
Since many of my students live in houses, apartments, or shelters with little-to-no resources, they appreciate everything they get in the classroom, especially when it involves technology! Although many of these students come into my class reading on a first or second grade level, they work their hardest to finish the year on or above a third grade level.
My Project
Leap Frog's Tag Readers are new and exciting and at the cutting-edge of reading technology. To have this amazing resource at the fingertips of my students would be a dream come true. The Tag Reader is a "touch reading system" that allows students to put the "tag" pen to a special book and hear the book read aloud. Not only do students get an audio version of the book, but the "tag" is programmed to ask comprehension and vocabulary questions as the book progresses. With this interactive resource, my students will have access to familiar titles like "Olivia" and "Green Eggs and Ham," while also reading the latest Disney books, like "The Princess and the Frog" and "Up". There is no doubt in my mind that this will be the KEY to encouraging reading for ALL of my students. The incentive to use the "tag" will have every student eager to come to school every day, ready to learn.

I am excited for the opportunity to bring reading to life for every single one of my students. It is materials like these that make school interesting and drive student attendance and participation.
