Imagine a classroom where no student is on the same academic level, a third of the class speaks a language other than English at home, and students are still getting adjusted to their first year in school. Now imagine trying to teach each of those students, and to help them succeed. Welcome to my classroom! I teach fifteen wonderful and diverse Kindergarten students, all of whom are excited about the wonderful world of reading that they are continually discovering each and every day in class.

However, every day I face a challenge. How do I work with students individually and in groups, to address their personal academic needs, while keeping other students engaged in work that will support their progress? To do this, I have my other students work in centers, but I often have trouble finding center work that can be engaging for all students.

The Tag Children's Classics Reading Center Set is a perfect solution to this problem! Tag Readers are a learning tool that work with specially printed books. Using these Readers, students can tap a word to hear its pronunciation. This allows children of all reading levels to read the same books because if they have trouble with a word, they can use the Reader to help them sound it out.

These Tag Readers would help ensure that all of my students are engaged in meaningful learning activities during center time while I work with individual and small groups of students. What's more, I know that my students will love them: what Kindergartener wouldn't be enthralled by a talking book? Your donation can help make the world of reading that much more exciting for my students.
