This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 5th and 6th grade students are moderately to severely handicapped. Most are just at the beginning stages of reading. It is especially challenging to find materials that keep their interest.

These wonderful students are so eager to read, but struggle to even learn the sounds of the alphabet.

If they could have assistance with the TAG reader system they would feel more independent while reading. The simple joy of hearing the text would bring huge smiles to their faces.

My Project

Adding the Tag Reader System to our classroom would be a great opportunity for all my students. From the lowest abilities to the highest. The TAG wand simply reads the words to the students. Instead of just listening to a book, my students will become engaged in the reading process. My students will be so excited to be able to open a book and be able to access information that has been too difficult to understand. The joy of learning will bring smiles to their faces.

Using the Tag Reading System my students will gain knowledge and understanding of a text that is beyond their actual reading level.

The system offers so many benefits to my students with special needs. It is so important for these children to be able to gain knowledge in a fun and inviting way.
