I teach Kindergarten in a low-income area of Florida. My passion is preparing my students for a lifelong love of reading. Tag readers use amazing technology to make stories come alive. The interaction with the stories sparks their interest in becoming a reader.
"Oh, my goodness, that book was sooo cool." These are the words one of my student said when trying out a TAG reader. It was music to my ears!
To help my students build background, increase vocabulary, build their word recognition, and increase their interaction with print we would love four TAG readers and four books.
Teachers inspire, empower, guide, support, teach, and love their students. This is my goal everyday. I hope this project will help me to create a classroom full of Kindergarten students who will become lifelong readers.
