Tactile Games for High School Spanish Students

Help me give my students the opportunity to practice their Spanish language skills by donating to our project! This project will fund enough games for students to work together to practice their speaking and vocabulary skills!

My Project

Our high school Spanish 2 students are motivated and enthusiastic learners who want to learn Spanish in a fun and engaging way! Supporting this project will allow my students to practice their Spanish vocabulary and interpersonal speaking in a more engaging way than traditional vocabulary lists or boring lists of questions.

They need hands on practice to both remember and enjoy the new language they are soaking in daily.

I've requested enough Banana Grams for students to work in pairs to spell out new and recycled Spanish vocabulary words. I plan to incorporate this practice into every thematic unit as both a whole class game and fast finisher activity. I also requested enough Jenga sets for students to work in small groups in order to practice their interpersonal speaking skills. I plan to have a list of conversational questions that are numbered. I will then number the Jenga pieces. When students pull a piece, they will ask the question associated with that number. That way students can engage in conversation in a fun and exciting way, vs. just answering questions.

Thank you for your support! My high school students can feel stress and anxiety at school due to the pressure put on them to achieve and get good grades. Funding this project will bring out the kid in them, and lower their anxiety/affective filters thus increasing learning and enjoyment! They will have so much more fun in our classroom (and learn so much more) by your donation to our project!
