My Students

"I grew 2 levels," a student exclaimed. Students cannot wait to share their growth with their peers and teachers at our school. Our students attend a zoned school in East Nashville where 100% receive free lunch. All students walk or are driven to school, and parents and families are eager to be a part of our community!

My students are full of love!

I cannot wait to see each of their faces in the morning. Everyday we start with literacy centers, go to specials (yoga, gym, music, or math intervention), whole group reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Every day they grow socially and academically to be their best self.

My Project

Our class requests 3 more Amazon Fire tablets. We use tablets everyday during math centers and some students use them for reading. Students go on tablets for 15-20 minutes. With more tablets, we would have tablets available to more students so more students can learn in small groups during math centers. The games and activities students play teach them basic math fluency including counting coins, adding and subtracting, and mentally solving problems within 20. Students can also use tablets to record themselves reading to increase reading fluency during guided reading. Tablets have become a great tool in our classroom. Please help us get some more tablets!
