My Students
We need to teach our students the way that they learn. Our students learn through technology.
I teach at a school in central Florida.
We have a large population of students that are economically challenged. 86% of the students qualify for the free/reduced priced lunch program. We are a Title 1 school.
Many of my students are very needy and need much in the way of technology resources. These students do not have access to computers or tablets in their homes. They are way behind in the use of technology before they even reach my kindergarten class.
My Project
I am requesting 4 Asus tablets for my classroom. We have a brand new reading program and need a way for the children to access the online portions of the series. There are books and learning games for the children to practice their skills in reading.
We do have computers for the children to use with a limited number of software programs that us older technology. Having Asus tablets would allow my students to use up-to-date technology and have fun while they are learning.
As a classroom teacher, I want my children to have all the tools necessary to learn and using technology in the classroom is vital.
My students would benefit from the addition of tablets to the classroom.
