Tablets in the Classroom Will Help Me Grow and Learn!
Help me give my students the opportunities concerning technology with the Amazon Fire Tablets. In today's world, being technologically competent will help these students be successful.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
While teaching in an underprivileged area is immensely rewarding, it can have considerable challenges. Many of my students come from single parent households that struggle to make ends meet. Most of my students have no technology in the home and no access to a computer. I feel that my students deserve the same opportunities as ALL students across the country. These tablets will give my students the opportunity to move along at their own pace as an extension of the lesson taught earlier.
As Dr Seuss said, "A person's a person no matter how small." These students are the future and cannot be forgotten.
I feel lucky to be the one to help them on their journey.
My Project
Having tablets in the classroom on a daily basis will be benefit all 27 of my students! I plan to have four small groups of learning. The tablets will be at one center that can enrich the lessons that I have taught. The teacher leads one small group and the other 2 groups have independent learning activities. At this time, we have exposure to technology at a minimal basis. These students deserve to be given opportunities to learn in different ways.
The strength of technology is the ability for teachers to differentiate instruction.
Kindergarten students enter Kindergarten and move along their academic journey at different paces. Tablets in the classroom can be utilized during small group instruction and can be used specifically for what each child needs to work on during small group time.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
