I am blessed to teach the six best students a teacher could ever ask for. I am a special education kindergarten teacher in a high-needs community. Though I strive to provide my students with all the materials they need, my smartboard no longer works and I was recently informed that it will not be fixed.
My smartboard helps my students communicate and actively participate in our lessons.
They are on the autism spectrum, so holding a pencil, and raising their hands to answer a question can be difficult. The new Samsung tablet we are requesting can help them become active participants in their classroom. Technology can give them a sense of pride, and allow them to see that even without words or a classroom smartboard they can still advocate for themselves.
The world is changing and I believe we all should be given the tools we need to navigate it, with your help my students will be able to gain the knowledge needed to prosper.
