This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in my classroom are enthusiastic about learning and always looking for a challenge. They are excited about anything that has to do with reading, science, and engineering. They ask fascinating questions and are willing to do research for themselves. They were able to use tablets for the first time just last week and they were extremely excited to look up words on a dictionary app for themselves. They are always delighted to try new things in the classroom.
My Project
My school is a STEAM school however, we do not yet have technology for each student in the school. With these tablets my students will be able to access websites and apps such as, RAZ kids, amplify reading, dictionary sites, mystery science and typing sites. My students will be able to work independently rather than in groups if I am able to get funding for more tablets. Not only will they learn about technology with these tablets, but they will be able to connect different subjects with technology. I want my students to enter middle school being as computer literate as possible.
