My Students
Kindergarten is the foundation for a child's entire educational career. They begin learning their letters and sounds, and practice their numbers and observational skills. My students come from a wide range of backgrounds, including 25% of my room being ESOL.
My kindergarteners are adventurous, loving, and talented kids who want to be everyone's friend!
My students have already made so much growth, and I truly believe it is due to their determination. They want to learn and grow, and their excitement for learning something new is truly special. I could not ask for a better group of students to make up my classroom of wilderness explorers!
My Project
Students can use these tablets in every aspect of our classroom. In reading, they can do listening centers and follow along with books we read. In math, they can use i-Ready to practice math skills and strategies on a variety of websites and apps. In all subjects, they can use it to communicate with myself and other students.
My kindergarteners are growing up in a technology-based world, and getting tablets for them will provide an avenue to develop skills for success.
I chose tablets because they also practice fine motor skills, which many of my students do not fully have. They have the ability to use apps and websites for translations, nonverbal signals, and many other uses.
