Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a Title I school. My class consists of 12 students who have mild to moderate disabilities. This class focuses on Academic, Career and Essential Skills. Our classroom has a mix of students with different abilities and grades varying from second grade to forth grade. Although our kids are frustrated on many different levels, I hope to strive and create a classroom that is supportive to each and ever child. A classroom that is fun, exciting, and encourages exploring and learning.

My Project

Tablets are a must in today's technology driven world. Some of our students do not have the possibility to own such devices. I hope to change that for our students and give them the opportunity to interact with technology.

It is imperative for students with special needs to have technology in the classroom; technology is a great way to incorporate a multi-sensory approach to teaching.

Since our students are sensory driven, Tablets will support their disabilities while providing our students with engaging activities and assignments that will increase their interaction level. Additionally, this technology will support their individualized educational goals.
