My Project

This year, our campus is implementing a new teaming model. This is a very exciting opportunity for our special education students with higher needs to experience a more inclusive setting and be with their general education peers more often throughout the school day.

This new model does present its challenges, especially for our students who need visual communication support, detailed behavior tracking, and personalized learning experiences.

These tablets will empower staff in the program to use visual supports in the inclusion classroom, track behavior and academic data in real time, and send personalized learning reports to the team members, including parents.

This technology will help enable the whole team to travel vicariously with each student through their personalized daily schedule, greatly opening up the school experience from the traditional self-contained model while still gathering much-needed data and providing the individualized support each learner needs.
