My students are creative, compassionate and eager to learn. We are a school with a STEAM initiative with a focus on agriculture. The students work in collaborative groups on various STEAM focused projects and activities. Using the school wide design thinking process, the students develop a plan to solve hands-on activities and challenges. Through Project-based learning the students use critical thinking skills to gain a deeper understanding of the concepts being taught. The integration of the tablets and educational apps in the class would provide the students the opportunity to include more technology in the learning process.
My Project
Help provide my students with access to the most updated technology. The Fire Tables will help to create a 21-century classroom for my students where they will develop essential technology skills. The benefits of having tables in the classroom are abundant. Students will be actively engaged in the learning segments where they will use their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. It will give them access to research real world problems and use the skills learned in class to solve them. The integration of technology in the classroom will preparing my students for the future STEM/STEAM careers. In the classroom the tablets will be used for small group learning centers and collaborative projects. My hope is to incorporate STEAM enrichment activities for my such as coding and robotics.
