Help me give my students tablets and headphones to allow them access to 21st century technology as well as provide non-English speakers and students with specific leaning needs, access to accommodation apps for text translation, text-to-speech, and e-visuals.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are first or second generation Americans. For many of them, English is a second language still to be mastered. They are enthusiastic about learning but to truly prepare them for our continuously evolving digital world, I must continue to introduce new and innovative technology in the classroom.
The goal of the project is to enhance and transform learning experiences for students.
By providing tablets I can leverage digital resources, educational apps, and online content to increase engagement, motivation, and accessibility. Students can explore concepts, complete assignments, make presentation videos, and collaborate with peers. Students with specific learning needs and English language learners can use the text translation app and/or the text-to-speech features.
Ultimately, the integration of tablets in my classroom aims to improve academic outcomes, foster 21st century skills, and my prepare students for an increasingly technological future.
