My Project
We are looking to purchase a tablet for communication for our non-verbal students. Being unable to express yourself with a language that others easily understand is very frustrating and typically causes negative behavior issues for those who can not use typical language but who would like to express themselves. typical language speakers are not always available to listen to body language or non-typical communication. We have several students in our classroom who can not use typical verbal language. We will use this tablet to give them a voice in the room and outside of the room. This will also help our students build friendships and express their needs and wants in a way that other verbal speakers can understand and will attend to.
