Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are unique and talented individuals. However, sometimes they don't even know it! My job is to nurture their creativity and help them create something beautiful and meaningful through music.
Every single one of my students are special.
They come from low income backgrounds. Most have never held an instrument or sung a song before entering my music classroom. Many speak different languages. They have never heard music before the year they were born. I reiterate - Every single one of my students are special. They deserve the best creative outlet and music education that can be offered to them.
My Project
With our every changing world, we not only want, but need the technology that will assist as we go along with it. With all of my students in a remote learning setting, this ipad and keyboard will bridge the gap of learning from the school building to their own homes. Utilizing programs such as Google Classroom and Meet will be more enjoyable as well as retain a better connection that our outdated technology can not. Having my students listen to music is such a huge part of my job and the memory capacity of the device will allow me to play as many songs as I choose for their listening and learning enjoyment.
