This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a second-grade bilingual teacher to 48 of the most amazing students. I teach Math, Science, and Social Studies. They all come from a low-income background and English is their second language. Our school is one of the biggest elementary schools in the district and we are a Title I school.
My Students have many challenges but every day they come to my classroom with a smile on their face and ready to learn.
My students are creative, great thinkers, and always eager to learn new concepts. I consider myself very lucky to be their teacher.
My Project
My students will use the headphones with their tablets to learn from different math and science educational programs. They need the headphones to be able to concentrate when they are doing a research for Math, Science and Social Studies using online websites such as Stemscopes, Britanica, pebblego, brianpop and many more. The headphones will allow my students to focus while working independently. We also need 8 cases to protect them and a cart to be able to store our tablets and headphones. They will also be able to charge them and be ready for the following day.
