This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Most of my students have been together since kindergarten, and you can tell. They are always playing with one another at recess, no one is excluded. I truly love this about them. As a first year teacher my students have welcomed me with open arms along with a few new students. You couldn’t even point out the new students if you tried. My class works hard, they are respectful and overall great kids.

My Project

My students spend a great deal of their time in the classroom. I want to make their learning environment as comfortable as possible. Desks are functional, but having the option to sit at a taller seat, seat near friends (covid permitted) and just be comfortable impacts a students academic.

The flex seating will be used in addition to our desks and allow for me to create a more welcoming environment.

My students work so hard each and everyday! I want them to feel comfortable when they are in my class.
