My Students

My fourth grade students are awesome! They come from diverse neighborhoods. They are a blend of different races, ethnicities, income levels and interests. Over half my students are on the free and reduced lunch program.

They have a vast range of academic ability.

The pandemic has caused many challenges this year including an even greater deficit in reading. The one thing all my students have in common is their eagerness to learn and be challenged.

It is my job to try to meet each of their individual needs while also fostering a love of literature.

My Project

I need tables for my students to collaborate and work on group projects. Students learn best from each other and tables would help me keep students together. They need each other to understand the material.

Student's learn best when they can collaborate and learn from other students at their level of understanding.

I love watching them problem solve and help each other grow through group work. Covid has stunted our children's ability to work together. Group work also teaches students social skills and how to help one another succeed in life.
