This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students generally come from low-income families that live around the school neighborhood located in the Southeast area of San Diego. Most of my students are African American and Latino, followed by students from the Pacific Islands or Asian backgrounds.
Our school is a unique place.
The school has a great percentage of students with special needs; therefore, our school needs to be equipped with technological devices, lab tools and materials, and other resources that will guarantee that all students have what they need to learn and succeed adequately.
My Project
It has been said that playing table tennis improves our dexterity, concentration, and memory. Our students had a table tennis table that - unfortunately - got broken easily. We would like to have a sturdy and more durable material for our next table tennis table.
A foldable Butterfly table tennis table seems to be the ideal table tennis table for our team.
Our students would be excited to know that they would have the opportunity to play table tennis once again. This project would benefit not only our special team but all students at our school as well.
