This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The table and stools are needed so that I can do small group instruction with my students in an actual group. Right now they are scattered throughout the room, with me running between them or we are all sitting on the floor and working.

This will allow my 5th grade students to comfortably meet with me to work on their individual needs or in a small group working on the same skill.

We have discovered that a deficit that is causing our students not to be able to read and decode words is they missed out on phonemic work. Trying to do group work without the students in an actual group together is a waste of instructional time. These items will help streamline the process and improve their learning.
