My Project
We are dedicated to creating an accessible and supportive learning environment for our Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students. To enhance their classroom experience, we are launching a DonorsChoose project to purchase new student tables and organization bins that will promote a visually clear, structured, and communication-friendly workspace.
Many of our current tables are outdated, too small, or cluttered with materials, making it challenging for students to engage in visual learning and sign language communication.
For DHH students, maintaining clear sightlines is essential for effective interaction with teachers and peers. By providing spacious, well-arranged tables, we can ensure that every student has the appropriate space to focus, collaborate, and thrive.
Additionally, new organization bins will help reduce visual clutter, keeping learning materials neatly stored and easily accessible. A well-structured classroom supports not only academic success but also fosters independence and confidence in our students.
