Help me give my students my students need a set of TI-84 graphing calculators to help them visualize complex Algebra 2 concepts, improve problem-solving skills, and ensure all students have equal access to essential learning tools.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Why Are TI-84 Graphing Calculators Important for an Algebra 2 Classroom?
TI-84 graphing calculators help students see and understand math better.
Algebra 2 includes topics like quadratic functions, exponential growth, and systems of equations, which can be hard to picture just by looking at numbers. These calculators allow students to graph equations, find patterns, and explore math in a hands-on way. They also help prepare students for important tests like the SAT and ACT.
How Will These Calculators Help Students Learn?
Not all students have access to a graphing calculator because they can be expensive. Having a class set means every student can use one when needed, making learning fair and accessible for everyone. These calculators will help students understand difficult math topics, work together on problem-solving, and gain confidence using technology for math.
Goals for This Project
My goal is to help students learn Algebra 2 in a way that makes sense to them. With these calculators, I want to:
Help students understand equations by seeing their graphs.
Make math more interactive and engaging.
Teach students how to use technology that will help them in college and on tests.
Ensure all students have equal access to learning tools.
What Makes My Students Special?
My students are hardworking and determined, even though many of them don’t like math. They come from different backgrounds and have different learning styles—some are confident in math, while others struggle. Many of them balance school with jobs, sports, and family responsibilities. Having the right tools in class can make learning easier and help them feel more confident in math.
