Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My prekindergarten youngsters are excited and eager to learn. I teach English Language Learners. The majority of my students are at risk and underprivileged. Many of my students don't experience or see a lot of things outside of their communities/home, and my goal is to allow them to explore the most in the classroom through various resources provided to them. As their teacher, I strive to create a learning environment where each student reaches success through their own individual potential and determination.
My Project
A word and number wall will allow my students to tactically engage with word building, adding and subtracting. Most of my students come from low income households and do not have access to kinesthetic learning opportunities outside of our classroom.
My student's belong to under-served communities and my goal is to prepare my students for kindergarten and beyond by enriching their reading and math skills through hands-on involvement with magnetic numbers and letters.
I hope to provide my students with learning opportunities that they do not have access to in their lives at home by creating a magnetic board that they can learn math and build sentences on.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
