Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are desperately seeking access to a membership that provides visuals, specifically made for special education students, but that will benefit all students for the coming years.
Special Education teachers require graphics for their students to create visual communication boards.
However, they are not given access to a database of figures and images. This program would not only be used to create token boards and communication boards for our Special Ed students (that make up a third of our population), but would be used for the posters and other visuals to implement Positive Behavior Implementation Strategies (PBIS).
These symbols would help students identify expectations, incentives, and having their needs met. It would be an invaluable asset.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
