My Project
This year, I am moving to a larger grade band, K-5, in a new school. I’ve learned that accessible sensory and movement within the classroom has been a game changer. It’s one thing to incorporate movement outside of the classroom, but to allow the flexibility within the classroom opened new doors.
I want to give my students a classroom crash pad, dizzy disc(spinning chair) and a swing stand in order to continue to meet their sensory needs throughout the day.
Some of my students are in their general education classroom nearly all day. They will come back to the classroom just for a break; I need to give them the tools to utilize during these breaks.
