My Project
FIRST Robotics Competittion (FRC) is an engineering and design sport for highschool studnets to design, build, and program a robot collaboratively within a limited time and strict rule set. This competition embodies the ideals of teamwork, leadership, and growth. Not a conventional team activity, robotics interests a wide breadth of demographics. This is one of the most diverse activities at our school deploying programmers, builders, designers, drivers, community managers, and more. Robotics has been an invaluable after school program in depth and breadth for our student body. Students learn best from an iterative design process from physical examples.
These swerve drive modules would give students the best example of the currently best drive train available for FRC to see, test, reverse engineer, and learn from.
These two swerve drive modules will provide two examples for our engineering team to break down and learn from. One of the principle pillars of robotics engineering is student driven learning and designing. By getting two of these swerve drives, our engineers will be able to reverse engineer and try to develop a similar drive train to outfit our robot with the necessary 4 drives to be able to move. By getting the best possible drive train on the market, students will have the most opportunity for the highest level of success that is currently available to work off of.
