Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are very eager to learn new skills and apply them. They are incredible smart and creative. My students have different styles of learning and I like to keep it fun and interesting with hands on projects after each unit.

These items will allow all of my students to be able to participate in these hands on lessons.

For our culinary section of class; I divide my students into color coded groups and have them cook meals throughout the week. I make it into a fun competition per group similar to the show Master Chef kids edition. This year I would like to incorporate a baking section, where each student will learn basic cake decorating techniques. My goal for the entire class is for them to be able to learn skills that will help them become successful, independent and thriving adults.
