Sweet Spot to Sit

Help me give my students a sweet spot to sit while I provide whole group instructional lessons. We’ll read books, count, create stories, and sing songs together. This space is where we will grow into a classroom family.

My Project

Each new school year I love to create a classroom environment that is welcoming and safe.

Our time on the carpet is always so sweet and having a spot for each child allows them to feel included.

My students love to share ideas and joining together on the carpet allows them to build their self-confidence.

I love hearing my students share during our community circle every morning. It allows everyone to feel part of the class and have their voices heard in a comforting space.

Our time spent on our carpet is about 75% of our day with mini lessons and station activities.
