This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am currently a third-grade teacher to amazing students in a low-income community. I have the same students from last year because I was given the opportunity to loop with them. I am so thankful for that. Aside from being in the Class Champions and Coyotes Reading program, they are students that strive to be their best selves each day.

My students set high standards for themselves and push themselves to be their very best each day.

We are an extremely close classroom with much to celebrate.

My Project

At the end of the quarter, I will drop off "mystery bags" filled with these special and unique rewards to students so they have a special event to look forward to. There are various items that will put a smile on their face and address their social/emotional needs. I chose some incredible items that my ducklings will absolutely love! I have chosen: slime, smelly stickers and various treats. I have also included sensory items for home and school use. This past year, I have seen many students show signs of anxiety and depression; these items will help them stay centered and focused so that they can learn effectively. I firmly believe that when students meet high expectations, they deserve to be rewarded. My goal is to have all my students to reach their potential and move to success. With the “new” school expectations I hope to have all my students become a success.
