Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year the students have a block schedule so I am lucky to be able to teach three different groups of kids! The 4th and 5th graders all have a homeroom, math and reading class. It works out great because it makes the students more responsible and organized. They also get the opportunity to move around more during the day and work with different groups of kids and teachers.

But since I'm teaching three different classes that means more supplies now than ever!

I want to treat all my classes equally and they all deserve the best. It would not be fair to my last block if they got all the used up supplies from the morning.

Supplies are always donated the first week of school and it is amazing but it usually doesn't last too long. People that aren't in the classroom don't understand how fast students can use up supplies! It is that time of the year when all my students need their classroom supplies replenished to they can succeed and not worry about anything else than their own learning.

STEM is also a big part of our curriculum and I always want to make sure the students have enough so they can learn, create and have fun! With fun always comes messes though so a little portable vacuum would help my students clean and organize their fun and teach them responsibility with another class job.

Lastly, a little photo printer would be helpful in my classroom so I can document all the fabulous work my students do in the blocks. The kids LOVE seeing their hard work displayed along their adorable smiles!
