My Students
My TK students are incredible. They are a diverse group of five-year-olds who love to learn, play, and read. They come to school every day from 8:30-3:00 and are constantly moving. This much energy wears all of us out!
We need to have rest time in our classroom for our bodies and minds.
In a room of 24 squirmy kids, it is hard for everyone to find personal space and have an opportunity to rest. Resting mats are the best way to provide rest time in a structured and safe way. Did you know students this age need at least 13 hours of sleep daily? In order to keep them healthy, happy, and ready to learn, we need a way to include nap-time in our daily schedule.
School-provided mats mean all students have a comfortable and safe place to rest every day.
My Project
TK students need resting mats for nap time in the afternoon. A seven-hour day is too long without time to rest! For most, it is their first time being at school full-time, and it's exhausting. It is hard to find personal space and calm down without a space to do it. I want to provide mats to all students have access to equal resources during rest time. This will help us with our classroom routines and get our brains ready to learn! It is an essential part of the day. Thank you so much for your help in giving TK sweet dreams.
