Sweet Dreams Pre-K

Help me give my students a more restful naptime with weighted blankets, black-out curtains and fidget toys.

My Project

My students are the youngest learners. They are fun, energetic, silly, smart, and great nappers. A full day of school is hard on my class; getting time to rest is an essential part of their day.

Proper rest is very important for a child's development and well-being and will give my students the chance to rejuvenate and add to their overall success.

A weighted blanket provides pressure and sensory input for students with special needs and can be used as a calming tool or for sleep. Black-out curtains will darken the room enough to use a sensory projector, giving my students a calming sense of peace. The fidget toys will give my non-nappers a quiet activity while others are napping. I am asking for these four blankets, black-out curtains, and fidget toys to provide a sense of calmness for the students whose near-constant need to move is impeding their learning.

I am hoping these can be shared by all of our students and will allow their learning to accelerate! When students nap successfully they are re-energized and ready to learn all afternoon.
