Sweet Dreams For All

My students need warm sleeping bags and pillows to insure a good nights sleep in our Michigan climate. Sometimes the floor is the only place for them to lay their heads at night.

My Students

My 16 spunky preschoolers come to school daily ready to learn and play! Our school is located in a large urban city and is predominantly a Title One funded school.

Age appropriate lessons, and hands on meaningful experiences, are key when teaching preschool children.

It is mandatory that I have enough materials for all my students in order to run my groups and lessons successfully. I try to teach independence and decision making which helps to empower the students. Their choices matter and I like to offer them many!

My Project

It is most important for children to get a good night's sleep. Without proper blankets and pillows at home, it is hard to calm down and go to sleep. Some of our children sleep between homes as well and we wanted them to feel warm with their very own things. It is hard to concentrate and learn in class when they are tired. I know children enjoy sleeping in sleeping bags and with their very own, I am positive they will get the rest they need. I wanted to add a pillow and toothbrush, to ensure a healthy bedtime routine ! With the comfort of the sleeping bag and the pillow, I am positive my kids will sleep well and be ready for school everyday! Sweet dreams will be had by all in their new bedtime bags.
