Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school has a large Hispanic student population and they love to play soccer as an extra curricular activity. We are located in the northwest area of Chicago as a PK - 8th grade school. The students love being active and enjoy playing soccer. We currently have three soccer programs running after school that would benefit from extra equipment.
The student population is 98% low income and primarily of Hispanic heritage.
Our students love being physically active during physical education classes, at recess, and in our after school programs.
My Project
My students are always looking for new and exciting ways to be active in physical education. This class set of polo brooms and expo markers will allow new and creative ways to motivate students to be active now and for a lifetime. Students love learning new ways to move and get their heart rate up to burn calories. The markers will be used to keep score on the whiteboard in class.
This game set will allow for a great way of new learning in physical education class.
This set will be used with 3rd-8th graders.
